How a Personal Trainer can help you reach your goals.

How a Personal Trainer can help you reach your goals.

Just a few ways a trainer can help you reach your goals.

You realize that your clothes are not fitting as they used to and your energy levels are down.  You know you have been thinking about getting back in shape for a while but you don’t know where to start.  The next few days you find yourself on the internet searching for trainers, gyms and coaches.  But how do you know if you are choosing the best trainer, gym and environment that you will feel the most comfortable and most importantly, that will get you results?

A good trainer will be able to help you in all aspects of fitness and health.  They should give you much more than just a workout but the workout of course is important, more on that in a bit. But a good personal trainer is a motivator. They are your personal coach and cheerleader. They get to know their clients on a personal level and figure out what roadblocks they may have and how to overcome those mental roadblocks.  They figure out what gets the client excited and fuels that fire inside that has been waiting to come out!

The trainer should check in on you and keep you accountable.  They should give you workouts to do on your own. in order to get to their results faster. In our studio most of our clients work out 2 to 3 days per week, so even just a short hike, dog walk, or 10-minute bodyweight circuit should be added to the programing.  This keeps the client’s mindset fresh and on the goal even when they aren’t infront of their trainer.

The trainers at bay area trainer program the workouts based on our clients current fitness level and personal goals.  We offer a huge amount of variety to avoid boredom and plateauing.  The workouts include balance, posture, corrective exercise, resistance training, metabolic and cardio training and of course nutritional coaching.  Its super balanced and very effective.

Ultimately you want to make sure that your trainer does an assessment workout to determine a starting point.  This is critical to making sure the client does not get injured.  Flexibility and range of motion, strength and endurance all need to be assessed and should be re assessed every month to show improvements.  You will want to make sure they are taking your body-fat every 4 weeks to determine that the program is working.  And they should keep you progressing in your program and showing you the results by an increase in muscle and and decrease in fat.  Every 4 weeks you and your trainer should be re assessing your progress and making sure you are on track.

At Bay Area Trainers we are all of the above!  You get a truly structured and results oriented experience every time you workout here with your very own trainer.  And it’s a private setting in a totally comfortable non threatening environment.

Any kind of goal and all fitness levels are welcome.  We invite anyone to come in for a free goal setting consultation where we can show you how we can tailor our program to your individual needs.
